Our Religious Education Program for grades 1-5 utilizes the Alive in Christ curriculum. This curriculum provides a comprehensive, age-appropriate approach to teaching about the life, mission, and saving work of Jesus Christ. Students are encouraged to explore the Bible's people and stories and to listen to God's voice. Following the divine teaching style, each lesson begins with God's invitation in Scripture and guides children to reflect, study, and apply the teachings to their daily lives.

Parents and Families
Alive in Christ aims to help children and families explore the joy of being alive in Christ through a unique catechetical process that follows the divine pedagogy. This gradual and relational approach allows us to understand God and his truth, be guided by the Holy Spirit, and respond with faith and love to receive the gift of new life in Christ. Our chapters are structured into three steps: Invite, Discover, and Live.
This year, Our Sunday Visitor has added three additional lessons to help enhance students' understanding.
1. The Kerygma Lesson - begins each year of catechesis with an encounter with the kerygma, the core, saving message of Jesus Christ.
2. The Human Person/Christian Anthropology Lesson - helps learners understand how to integrate mind, body, and spirit as disciples of Jesus.
3. The Missionary Discipleship Lesson - closes each year of catechesis by helping students remember and share what they have learned.
We provide simple lesson planning, teaching, and training tools to assist catechists and volunteers in enhancing their knowledge and catechetical skills, listed below.
1. Use more straightforward language and shorter sentences to make the content more accessible to a broader audience, especially for those who may not be familiar with religious terminology.

2. Add specific examples or anecdotes to help readers understand how the Alive in Christ curriculum can be applied in real-life situations. This can help demonstrate the program's practical benefits and make it more relevant for parents and families.

3. Provide more information about the structure of the curriculum, such as the number of lessons, the duration of the program, and the specific topics covered in each grade level. This can help readers understand what to expect and how the program can benefit their children's religious education.
